Steps to Follow

To obtain a new employment visa in the UAE, several steps and documents are required. Here is a detailed breakdown:

Step 01

E-Quota Application

  • Action:Apply for an Employment Visa quota.
  • Location:Tas’heel Centre.
  • Documents Required:Trade License, Company Labor Card, Ejari (rental contract), designation, gender, electronic signature, email address, and contact number.

Step 02

Offer Letter & Work Permit

  • Action:Once the quota is approved, obtain the Work Permit.
  • Details:The Work Permit needs to be typed at the Tas’heel Centre. Obtain signatures and thumb impressions from the employee.
  • For Out-of-Country Employees:The offer letter can be emailed. Upon signing, scan and submit the documents.
  • Documents Required:Trade License, Company Labor Card, passport copy, salary details, and the original electronic signature card.
  • Approval Timeline: 2 to 4 working days, depending on nationality.

Step 03

Labour Insurance

  • Action:Pay for Labour Insurance.
  • Payment Method: Cash or Card at Dubai Insurance.

Step 04

Labour fee

  • Action:Pay the Labour Fee at the Tas’heel Centre.
  • Fee Details:
    • Category 2: AED 1,284.77
    • Category 3: AED 3,550.77

Step 05

Entry Permit

  • Action:Apply for the Entry Permit.
  • Fee:AED 356.20 (for outside country) or AED 356.20(for inside country).
  • Application Method:Online Portal or Amer Center.
  • Processing Time:Depends on nationality; includes security checks.
  • Requirements:Minimum age of 18 and maximum of 65. Complete Medical, Emirates ID, and visa stamping within 60 days from Entry/Visa Position Amendment.

Step 06

Change Status

  • Action:Change the status of the employee if they are inside the UAE.
  • Application Method:Online Portal or Amer Center.

    Note: Tourist visa holders can also change their visa status inside the country.

Step 07

Medical Typing

  • Action:Complete medical typing and proceed to the authorized Medical Centre for a health check.

Emirates ID Typing

  • Action:Type Emirates ID application and proceed with fingerprinting if required.

Step 09

Labour Contract Submission

  • Action:Submit the Labour Contract at Tas’heel Centre or Tawjeeh.
  • Details:The employee should sign the Labour Contract with the company seal. The contract and Labour Card will be available within 48 hours.

Step 10

Visa Stamping

  • Action:Apply for Visa Stamping.
  • Application Method:Online through a typing Centre.
  • Approval:Wait for approval from Immigration, which will be communicated via SMS. The approved copy will be emailed, and an Airway bill number will be assigned for passport pickup by Zajeel.
  • Urgent Processing:For urgent visa stamping, pay an additional AED 100 online and visit the Immigration branch for immediate stamping.

    Trade License, Company Labor Card, Ejari, Designation, Gender, E-signature, Email, Contact Number.

  • Offer Letter Documents

    Trade License, Company Labor Card, Passport Copy, Salary Details, Original E-signature Card.

  • Work Permit Documents

    Trade License, Company Labor Card, Passport Copy, Salary Details, Education Certificate, Photo, Original E-signature Card, Article 127, Training Clause.

  • Labour Fee/Labour Insurance

    Trade License, Company Labor Card, Offer Letter Signed Copy, Permit Approval MB Number.

  • Entry Permit Documents

    Colour Passport Copy, Photo, EDNRD Token with Username/Password or Online Registration Receipt, MB Number, Trade License, Establishment Card, Company Partner Original EID.

  • Change Status Documents

    Colour Passport Copy, Entry Permit, Visit Visa/Old Cancellation, EDNRD Token with Username/Password or Company Partner Original EID, Trade License, Establishment Card.

  • Medical Documents

    Original Passport, Entry Permit with Entry Date or Change Status Copy.

  • Emirates ID Documents

    Original Passport, Entry Permit with Entry Date or Change Status Copy, Old Emirates ID Copy, Employee Contact Number.

  • Labour Contract Submission Documents

    Passport Copy, Photo, Entry Permit with Entry Date or Change Status, Trade License, Labor Card, Original E-signature Card, Signed Contract.

  • Visa Stamping Documents

    Trade License, Establishment Card, Passport Copy, Entry Permit with Entry Date or Change Status, Photo, Medical Certificate, Emirates ID Application, Health Insurance Copy, Labour Card, EDNRD Token with Username/Password or Company Partner Original EID.
