Initiating the Renewal Process

Renewing an employment visa is necessary to maintain legal residency and employment status in the UAE. The renewal process typically begins before the current visa expires to avoid any legal or employment issues.
It’s advisable to start the renewal process at least 60 days before the current visa expires. This allows sufficient time for any potential issues and avoids overstaying penalties.

Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for renewal, which generally include having a valid employment contract and being in compliance with UAE labor laws.

Steps to Follow

Action:Renew the labour contract at Tas’heel Centre.
Documents Required:Company MOL number, Sponsor/Owner E-signature Card and EID, Employee Labour Card, Passport Copy, Visa Page, Salary Details, White Background Photo.

Action:Pay Labour Insurance and submit the renewal application.
Documents Required:Company MOL number, Sponsor/Owner E-signature Card and EID, Signed Contract Copy, Passport, Visa Copy.

Action:Type the medical application form and proceed with the medical test at an authorized Medical Centre.
Documents Required: Passport Copy, Visa Page, White Background Photo.

Action:Type the Emirates ID renewal application.
Documents Required:Old EID Copy, Passport Copy, Visa Copy, Employee Photograph.

- Action:Apply for visa stamping through the company’s GDRFA portal or Amer Center.
- Documents Required: Trade License, Establishment Card, Employee Passport Copy, Visa Page, Photo, Renewed Labour Card, Emirates ID Application, Medical Fit Certificate.

Age Above 65 Years:Labour Card can be renewed till age 65. Beyond that, normal fees + AED 5,000 extra are required for renewal.
Validity of Visa:If renewed before the expiry date, the new visa starts from submission. If renewed after expiry, the new visa starts from the last expiry date.
