Emirates ID Cancellation

Steps to Cancel Your Emirates ID

  • Cancel Residency Visa

    Your Emirates ID is linked to your residency visa. Before you can cancel your Emirates ID, you must cancel your residency visa through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in your emirate.

  • Gather Required Documents

    - Original Emirates ID. - Residency visa (if available). - Passport.

  • Complete the Cancellation Process

    - Fill out the necessary forms for visa cancellation. You may be required to provide reasons for cancellation.

  • Return the Emirates ID

    - Submit your Emirates ID as part of the cancellation process. The officials will process the cancellation and return any relevant documents to you.

  • Receive Confirmation

    - After the cancellation process is complete, ensure you receive a confirmation that your Emirates ID and residency visa have been cancelled.

  • Employer Sponsorship

    If you are on a work visa, your employer will typically handle the cancellation of the visa and Emirates ID.

  • Expired Emirates ID

    If your Emirates ID has expired it is automatically cancelled otherwise the Sponsor Needs to visit the Immigration to Personally cancel it.
