UAE Mission Work Permit Overview

The Mission Visa is specifically designed for professional workers who intend to work temporarily in UAE mainland companies on a probationary basis. This visa is valid for 90 days (3 months) and permits a single entry into the UAE. It is ideal for professionals who need to evaluate employment opportunities in the UAE before committing to a longer-term visa or employment contract.

Eligibility Criteria

Application Location
Applicants must be outside the UAE when applying for a Mission Visa.

Visa Expiration and Exit Requirement
Applicants are required to leave the UAE immediately upon the expiration of their Mission Visa.

Reapplication
After exiting the UAE and cancelling the Mission Visa, employees may apply for a new Mission Visa.

Company Eligibility
The eligibility of companies to apply for Mission Visas is assessed during the application process. This assessment depends on the company’s activities and is determined by the Ministry of Labour (MOL).

Required Documents for Application

  • Sponsor’s Original E-Signature Card

    A valid digital signature card from the sponsor.

  • Sponsor’s Original Emirates ID

    The Emirates ID of the sponsor, which must be valid.

  • Employee’s Passport Copy

    A clear copy of the employee’s passport, which should be valid for a minimum of 6 months.

  • Identification Documents

    For nationals from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, or Iran, specific identification documents are required.

  • Employee Photo

    A recent passport-sized photograph of the employee with a white background, taken in a professional studio.

  • Education Certificate

    The employee’s educational qualifications must be attested by:
    - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the home country
    - The UAE embassy in the home country
    - MOFA in the UAE

  • Designation

    The job title or position the employee will hold in the UAE.

  • Salary Details

    Information regarding the employee’s salary in the UAE.

Steps to Obtain a Mission Visa

Verify Quota
Determine the company’s quota for issuing Mission Visas to ensure eligibility.

Submit Application
Complete and submit the Employee Mission Work Permit application, which must be signed by the employee.

Process Labour Insurance and Fees
After receiving approval for the Mission Work Permit from the Ministry of Labour, process the necessary labour insurance and pay the applicable labour fee.

Apply for Entry Permit
Apply for the Mission Entry Permit from outside the UAE.

05

Submit Labour Contract
Submit the labour contract as required by UAE authorities.
